Milton Hershey School is excited to host the second Spartan Family Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, May 11 at 10:30 a.m.

Stop by the start line at 10 a.m. to celebrate with us at the 2024 Parents/Sponsors of the Year Awards Ceremony, honoring parents/sponsors who exemplify the MHS Sacred Values. Lunch will be provided after the event at the outdoor Ice Rink next to the MHS Spartan Athletic Complex.

During the race, there will be activities throughout the route in celebration of Mother’s Day. Wear your Spartan gear to show your MHS pride! See the schedule of events:

  • 10-10:30 a.m.: 2024 Parents/Sponsors of the Year Awards Ceremony (Spartan Athletic Complex Circle)
  • 10:30-11:00 a.m.: Run/Walk Start Time (Spartan Athletic Complex Circle)
  • 11 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.: Community Lunch (Spartan Outdoor Ice Rink)

About the Foundation:

The Family Gratitude Foundation in Honor of Gertrude Gurt is dedicated to enhancing the Milton Hershey School student experience and celebrating the courage, strength, and resilience of those who enroll and support Milton Hershey School students.

Foundation Objectives:

  • To honor parents/sponsors who show strength and resilience in the face of adversity and who also show a great love and dedication to Milton Hershey School, as modeled by Mrs. Gertrude Gurt.
  • To celebrate and honor four parents/sponsors each year who exemplify Milton Hershey School’s Sacred Values.
  • To provide resources and opportunities for students to honor their own parents/sponsors through Milton’s Christmas Workshop and other events throughout the year.
