Four MHS Fourth Grade Students Celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week
In celebration of Teacher Appreciation Week, four Milton Hershey School fourth-graders shared who their favorite teachers are and why they are thankful for them. At MHS we are grateful for our top-notch educators who make a difference in the lives of our students and community, far beyond the school day. From ensuring students have the knowledge they need to be successful post-graduation to the the ways they invest in students outside the classroom, teachers at MHS are difference makers.
They engage with students intentionally through mentoring relationships, coaching sports teams across campus, and encouraging students to be their greatest selves in all areas of their lives. Beyond daily responsibilities, teaching at MHS is a one of a kind experience that allows educators to invest time and effort into relationships with students. These relationships are the key to student success and help graduates stay connected to the school beyond their high school graduation.
Many MHS alumni share that their teachers motivated them to be confident in their academic and personal abilities. We asked a few MHS Elementary Division students what they love most about their teachers.
Thank you, MHS teachers, for the way you impact our students’ lives every day! Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!
Who is a teacher who has impacted you?
My favorite teacher is my third grade teacher, Mrs. Laird, because she was always happy, gives people a smile, and is very kind to others.
Who is a teacher who has impacted you?
I don’t have one favorite teacher, because I like all of my teachers. They are really fun and we go on field trips with them. They care about us and give us a really good education.
Who is a teacher who has impacted you?
My favorite teacher is Ms. Wilkins because she’s really nice and I appreciate what she does. When I’m not having a great time I get to talk to her about it.
Who is a teacher who has impacted you?
My favorite teacher is Mrs. Donaher because she helps kids with speech. She helped me with my “S” sound and now I’m really good at it. I hope other people can graduate speech like I did.
