Floating Science Teacher – Middle and High School
Back to all Careers
Milton Hershey School (MHS) is one of the world’s best pre-K through 12th grade private schools, where students from disadvantaged backgrounds are provided with a cost-free home and a top-notch education. Thanks to the generosity of Milton and Catherine Hershey back in 1909, the school is fully endowed today, with the resources to ensure students can thrive. The school has prepared almost 12,000 graduates to lead fulfilling and productive lives and is expanding to serve more students.
MHS is hiring a highly qualified, dynamic Floating Science Teacher for the Middle and High School to teach science curriculum to cover classrooms in 5th through 12th grade classrooms. MHS boasts small class sizes, well-resourced classrooms with state-of-the-art technology, and a collaborative work environment dedicated to ensuring students achieve at or above grade level, despite prior circumstances.
MHS teachers plan, prepare, and deliver lessons with rigor and relevance. They create and analyze formative and summative assessments to differentiate instruction, inform programming, and accommodate individual students and whole group needs. This position entails extensive data utilization including the ability to analyze, interpret and apply data to drive achievement. MHS teachers support school initiatives such as social & emotional skills and wellness, ensuring a whole child approach is taken to student development. This position requires a commitment to remediating students beyond regular classroom hours and a requirement to schedule and complete an additional duty to their teaching schedules.
