Milton Hershey School is seeking an Ancillary Vocal Coach (female voices) for our senior division vocal students. Duties will include private/semi-private vocal lessons for advancing high school vocal students (utilizing a variety of vocal literature), recital planning/prep, and support of other student vocal needs (i.e. choir music preparation/review and college audition preparation/support). Must be able to commit to approximately 200 hours per school year (approximately 20 hours per month for 10 months). Lessons are typically scheduled based on student availability Monday through Friday from 3pm-5pm. Recitals typically occur twice per year (Winter & Spring - after school or weekend).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in music and previous voice instruction experience.
- Piano skills to play vocal parts.
- At least 2 years of prior experience as a private vocal instructor with youth preferred.
- Demonstrated skills in effectively establishing strategies that enhance students’ skills.
- Availability to work throughout the school calendar year - September through June.
- Candidate should demonstrate a high degree of integrity, as all MHS staff are role models for MHS students.
