Bill Balog

Bill Balog

Bill Balog didn’t exactly grow up in a Sprint Car hot bed. He called Alaska home in his youth. Dirt bikes and snowmobiles were his race cars of choice in his early years. But a passion was born for Sprint Cars when he climbed in one at age 20.

He eventually moved and began to construct a racing career in the lower 48 states. A career that’s led him to being the most dominant driver in Interstate Racing Association (IRA) history. “The North Pole Nightmare” has racked up 140 IRA wins and 10 championships, both all-time highs. He also picked up a World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car victory at Beaver Dam Raceway in 2016.

And now in 2024, Balog joined The Greatest Show on Dirt full-time for the first time. He took his personally-owned B2 Motorsports #17B on the road for the grueling schedule and pieced together a solid year with more than 20 top 10s. Balog is ready for more in 2025 as he returns for a sophomore season.

Bill Rose

Bill RoseRacing is all Bill Rose has ever known.

Wheeling 900+ horsepower Sprint Cars is what drives Rose and motivates his choice to continue racing with the World of Outlaws. He doesn’t merely want to race. He wants to compete with the best.

The Plainfield, IN native has been behind the wheel of a race car for several decades and has had success in wingless Sprint Cars and Silver Crown Cars in addition to his winged racing.

Rose is the 2015 IRA champion and the 2018 BOSS champion.

In his World of Outlaws career, Rose’s best year was 2012 when he collected 10 of his 17 career top-10s. His best finish with The Greatest Show on Dirt is a third in 2011 at River Cities Speedway.

As he navigates 2024, Rose hopes to top both the consistency he showed in 2012 and his personal-best finish from 2011.

Carson Macedo

Carson MacedoIn his first two years on the tour with Kyle Larson Racing, Carson Macedo established himself as a solid World of Outlaws competitor. In his last four seasons with Jason Johnson Racing, Macedo has made it clear he’s a championship contender.

The Lemoore, CA native topped his first World of Outlaws race at Silver Dollar Speedway when he was still racing as a California local in 2014. Macedo joined the tour in 2019 and claimed Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year honors.

After joining JJR ahead of 2021, no driver won more races than Macedo’s tally of 22 over the next two seasons. He’s reached some of the best moments of his career with the team started by the late “Ragin’ Cajun” including a pair of National Open titles and an $83,000 Dennis Roth Classic score.

After three consecutive third place results in the standings and a runner-up in 2024, Macedo and his JJR crew are hungrier than ever to make a run at the 2025 championship.

Cole Macedo

Cole MacedoCole Macedo has followed in the footsteps of older brother Carson all the way to the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars.

The Lemoore, CA native impressed along the west coast in his youth primarily driving for Tarlton Motorsports but also earning seat time with other teams.

In 2021, Macedo broadened his horizons in a big way by joining forces with Ray Brooks Racing and running a healthy schedule in Ohio. That partnership led to Macedo’s first All Star Circuit of Champions victory. The pairing came back even stronger in 2022 to the tune of double digit wins.

The following year saw Macedo return to his roots as he climbed back aboard the Tarlton No. 21 but also jumped in a handful of other rides as part of a busy 2023. Macedo nearly took the Tarlton car to a Northern Auto Racing Club championship in 2024. When he wasn’t competing for that title on the left coast, he was often out east gaining more experience.

The commitment to Sprint Car racing paid off for Macedo as he inked a deal with TwoC Racing for 2025 and is set for his first season with The Greatest Show on Dirt.

David Gravel

David Gravel

The dream finally came true for David Gravel in 2024 as he captured a World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car championship. But he’s not done. He wants to cement his legacy among the best.

The 30-year-old’s talents have consistently landed him in top-tier rides throughout his career. Stints with Roth Motorsports, Destiny Motorsports, CJB Motorsports, and Jason Johnson Racing have all proven to be fruitful for Gravel. He’s now in his fourth season driving for Tod Quiring’s Big Game Motorsports.

Since earning his first World of Outlaws win at Talladega Short Track in 2011, Gravel has amassed 102 more triumphs to become only the 8th driver in Series history to reach triple digits. He won a whopping 18 races in 2017 with CJB. He’s a Knoxville Nationals champion. He’s a National Open champion. And now he’s a World of Outlaws champion.

The Watertown, CT native is geared up to defend his title run in 2025. He became only the 11th champion in Series history in 2024. Now, he wants to become just the sixth to go back-to-back.

Donny Schatz

Donny Schatz

This season will be Donny Schatz’s 29th on the road with the World of Outlaws, and there isn’t much left for this living legend to accomplish.

Ten championships. Eleven Knoxville Nationals. Six Kings Royals. And many, many more triumphs highlight Schatz’ resume on the way to his current tally of 316 World of Outlaws wins (third most all-time).

Perhaps the most impressive part of Schatz’ career is the way in which he’s reached his numbers. He’s known for being one of the most respectful drivers ever in addition to being one of the most talented. The 47-year-old has maintained a philosophy of racing as clean as possible and searching the slick for a lane by a competitor when an aggressive slide job might’ve gotten the job done quicker.

Before he began with the World of Outlaws, Schatz had early success in the sport.

Schatz was born in Minot, North Dakota, in 1977. He began racing go-karts at a young age, and quickly showed his talent for the sport. In 1993, he won the WISSOTA Sprint Car Rookie of the Year award. The following year, he won the WISSOTA National Championship.

And if Schatz’ abilities behind the wheel of a race car aren’t enough, he’s got some talent in the air as well being a licensed pilot.

Giovanni Scelzi

Giovanni ScelziFulfilling the prophecy, Giovanni Scelzi – one of the most prominent young stars in racing – hit the road full-time with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series in 2023.

Scelzi lived up to the hype, taking the KCP Racing No. 18 to a Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year season highlighted by consistency and a Beaver Dam Raceway victory.

There would be no sophomore slump for this prodigy. The Fresno, CA native elevated his statistics in nearly every category in 2024. Scelzi grabbed a trio of wins along with a Knoxville Nationals prelim triumph.

“Hot Sauce” heads into 2025 looking to make his third year with The Greatest Show on Dirt even better.

Outside of Sprint Cars, Scelzi has shined in everything he’s raced. He’s won a Tulsa Shootout title in a Micro Sprint, topped a USAC National Midget Series event, and even scored a win in the ARCA Menards West Series. The young buck is also in elite company as a Rookie of the Year winner at both the Chili Bowl and Knoxville Nationals.

Coming from a family rich in racing heritage, Giovanni is the son of Gary Scelzi, a drag racing legend with four NHRA championships (3 Top Fuel, 1 Funny Car) to his name. He’s grown up under the wings of older brother Dominic Scelzi, a Sprint Car ace with wins against the All Stars, ASCS, and back-to-back championships in California with the NARC 410 Series.

Logan Schuchart

Logan Schuchart

The 2025 season marks year 12 on the World of Outlaws tour for Logan Schuchart aboard the Shark Racing #1S – an impressive accomplishment for a team that many weren’t sure if they’d make it through their first campaign back in 2014.

Before he got started with The Greatest Show on Dirt” Schuchart was voted the 2012 National Sprint Car Rookie of the Year by the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame.

As the Hanover, PA native navigated the early part of his career with the World of Outlaws, he continued to show signs of improved consistency and picked up his inaugural Series win in 2016 at Cedar Lake Speedway. Schuchart has since added many notable accomplishments including the Eldora Million, a pair of Jackson Nationals titles, and runner-ups at both the Knoxville Nationals and Kings Royal. Schuchart is up to 42 career World of Outlaws wins.

With top-seven finishes in the points for the last seven seasons including a personal-best second in 2020, Schuchart and the Shark crew have established themselves as annual title contenders. This year they continue to eye the ultimate goal of bringing a World of Outlaws championship trophy back to their Pennsylvania shop.

Michael Kofoid

Michael Kofoid

From his earliest days racing in California, it was clear Michael “Buddy” Kofoid was destined for stardom. Many Outlaw Kart victories and championships made it clear he had plenty of talent.

That talent quickly led him to Sprint Car success as young as 14 years old. Kofoid topped several 360 Sprint Car races in 2016 including a prelim in the prestigious Trophy Cup that routinely welcomes nearly 100 entries.

The next year he claimed a major 410 Sprint Car race by visiting Victory Lane at Ocean’s Speedway’s Howard Kaeding Classic with the Northern Auto Racing Club (NARC). Then in 2018 he earned the pole of the Gold Cup Race of Champions before bringing home a top five.

In 2019 Kofoid began to dabble in midget racing and quickly got acclimated by winning his first race with Keith Kunz Motorsports at Jacksonville Speedway. He went on to become only the 12th driver to earn back-to-back USAC National Midget championships in 2021-2022. The year 2022 also brought his first World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car win at Huset’s Speedway.

Kofoid hit the road full-time with the World of Outlaws in 2024 aboard the Roth Motorsports No. 83 and delivered perhaps the best rookie season ever. When all was said and done, Kofoid had racked up seven wins and come home fourth in points. The performance has some wondering if he can elevate to championship contender in only his second campaign. The 2025 season will answer that question.
