Digital Citizenship and Online Safety

MHS provides ongoing digital education for its staff. This includes teachers, houseparents, and parents/sponsors. We also teach digital citizenship in each division, focusing on social media awareness, general online safety, and mindfulness of your digital footprint.

By teaching our staff online safety best practices, they share this knowledge with students. By working to build strong character within our students, they make better choices in the digital world.

Differentiated Instruction Through Technology

Students learn in different ways. Technology supports diverse instruction in the classroom. It has allowed us to create a student-centered learning environment.

Technology also enhances students’ ability to communicate. It supports teamwork when solving real-world problems. These vital tech tools help students with:

  • Solo and group coursework
  • Research
  • Homework
  • Communication

We seek to enrich our students’ skills in many ways and technology helps us. We grow their problem-solving and critical thinking abilities. We encourage their creativity. We reinforce their STEAM understanding. Through all of these things, we prepare our students for living well in a 21st century world. Learn more about education in each MHS division.
